Cornell Abroad administers undergraduate study overseas during a semester or full academic year. More than 500 students from all the colleges study abroad in over 40 countries annually. Roughly a third enroll in programs run directly by Cornell, the rest enroll in programs run by other American colleges study abroad organizations or directly in universities overseas. Our goal is a close integration of academic work with study on the Ithaca campus.

This site will suggest the principal roles faculty play in study abroad, give basic information on how study abroad works at Cornell, and offer a rundown of faculty’s most frequently asked questions regarding who studies abroad, when and where.
